Common questions
- Is there a coding round in the TD Securities investment banking interview?
- No. The TD Securities IB analyst loop is entirely spoken: a video screen, a fit-heavy first round, one analyst-level finance-fundamentals conversation, and a superday. There is no coding round.
- How technical is the TD Securities interview?
- Light, at the analyst level. The first round is roughly half fit and half technical, and the superday has one dedicated technical seat covering the three statements, enterprise vs equity value, valuation methods and a DCF walk. A full LBO model is not expected.
- What is the TD Securities first round like?
- Commonly reported as one live round with about three junior bankers together, roughly 30 to 45 minutes, split about half fit and half technical. Different interviewers skew differently, so one may sit almost entirely on fit while another leans technical.
- When does TD Securities recruit in Canada?
- Applications open in the spring, roughly a year before the summer start, and Canadian recruiting runs a few months behind the earliest US dates. Full-time offers are largely conversion from the summer analyst class.
