Privacy Policy
Last updated July 21, 2026
Larpy (“Larpy,” “we,” “us”) operates the interview practice service at trylarpy.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain on purpose.
What we collect
Account. Your email address, used to sign you in by magic link or through Google/GitHub sign-in. We never see or store your password for those providers.
What you give us to run an interview. The resume you upload (PDF and the text extracted from it), the job title or job description you paste or link, and any answers, code, and audio you produce during a live mock interview.
Interview output. The transcript of your session, your delivery metrics, and the score report we generate for you.
Usage & abuse-prevention. Basic device and request data, and a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to enforce free-tier limits and stop automated abuse.
Payments. Billing is handled by Stripe. We receive your plan status and a Stripe customer/subscription reference; we never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
To run your mock interview, generate your score report, keep your practice history and readiness score, process your payments, prevent abuse, and provide support.
Improving the service. We retain interview transcripts and may use them to evaluate and improve Larpy’s interviewing and scoring quality. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. If you would prefer your transcripts not be used for product improvement, contact us and we will honor that.
Who processes your data for us
We use a small set of service providers purely to deliver the product. Your interview content may be processed by providers in these categories in the course of running a session:
- AI model providers that run the interviewer and the scoring
- Speech recognition and voice synthesis providers for the live conversation
- Real-time audio, video, and avatar infrastructure
- A sandboxed code execution service for coding interviews
- Cloud hosting, authentication, and database providers
- Stripe, for payment processing
- A transactional email provider
Each provider processes your data only to run the service for us, not for their own purposes. The current provider list is available on request at hello@trylarpy.com.
Retention
We keep your account and interview data while your account is active so you can revisit your history. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your associated data on a reasonable timeline. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your choices
You can access and delete your data, opt out of transcript use for product improvement, or ask questions about this policy by emailing hello@trylarpy.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law; we honor valid requests.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted, billing fields are write-protected at the database level, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to run the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children
Larpy is intended for users who are at least the age of majority where they live and is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
